Dear Friends,
Saturday June 11 at 8 PM, I will be reading at Bookhampton in Sag Harbor from BE LOVE NOW, a book I co-authored with Ram Dass, published by HarperOne last November. I‘ll reflect on some of the great Indian saints, traveling to India in 1970 and finding a different kind of love.
My forty year inner and outer journey began with a 1967 college lecture by Richard Alpert, who had been Timothy Leary’s psychedelic sidekick at Harvard. Dr. Alpert had just transformed into Baba Ram Dass, soon to be creator of BE HERE NOW, the iconic 70’s spiritual cookbook. BE LOVE NOW captures more of our collective journey into the heartland and continues it into the present moment.
