My Long Island at the Islip Art Museum

In Part Two of a tribute to the landscape, the Islip Art Museum’s annual Invitational exhibition considers Long Island’s unique terrain. Guest curator Carole Jay, a Long Island artist and curator, particularly interested in work that portrays motifs that define the suburbs and surroundings, has selected a number of LI artists including EEPG member Gerry Giliberti’s photo construction “Pumps, Springs, EH” and possibly other EEPG members (their names not known at this posting).

Collective Imagery Closing Reception and Film Event
June 5th, 2009 under Events. [ Comments: none ]

The Collective Imagery exhibition’s closing reception is Sunday June 7 from 2 – 5 PM at Ashawagh Hall in East Hampton. A special film event showing 3 films including Man Ray- Prophet of the Avant Garde, Photographers Secret and Man with a Camera will start at 2 PM.

Weekend gallery hours are 12 – 5 PM. This event is free and open to the public.
