THE BAY GALLERY PRESENTS A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHS IN APRIL
The Bay Gallery of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bellport, 51 Browns Lane, Bellport Village, will present the unique work of Clarence Simpson during the entire month of April, from 2-4 PM. A reception will be held on Sunday, April 13 from 2-4PM.
After completing his degree in African American Art at Empire College, Mr. Simpson continued to study African American Artists and with Nikon and the Rick Sammon School of Digital Photography. Focusing on landscapes, seascapes, still lifes and floral images, he worked primarily in silver gelatin, black and white and 35mm. Recently he added digital photo art media. His major influences include Gordon Parks, Paul Gauguin, Diego Rivera and Frieda Kahlo. He has shown his work in numerous individual and group exhibits such as Soho Photo Gallery and Verizon Learning Center. He is affiliated with the East End Arts Council, Schomberg Center for Research in Black Culture, North Shore Arts Guild and Brookhaven Arts & Humanities Council among others.
Please call 631-286-8459 for further information or directions.
Again the Brookhaven Town Supervisor has invited the members of the Brookhaven Arts & Humanities Council to exhibit their art and photography works at Town Hall. I have three pieces there for this show. As usual the members of BAHC are exhibiting great talent in the arts. It will be great to know that you will have a chance to see the work.
